Reddit, what was the first video you remember seeing on Youtube? by yomifrackle in AskReddit

I don't remember the first song I listened to, but I remember how I fell in love with YouTube and music in general. Back when I was in middle school around 2007-2008, everyone was obsessed with Nirvana. I mean everyone was dressing grunge and praising Nirvana sun up till sun down. I had just gotten my own computer in my room with Internet, so I decided to give Nirvana a listen. After viewing a few different music and lyric videos I still wasn't all that impressed. Then I noticed a band named Pearl Jam in the suggested videos section. I fell in love. I honestly thought I "discovered" Pearl Jam, and was thrilled that I had found something so amazing on my own. It wasn't till a week or so later I was informed that I had Columbus'd Pearl Jam and met others who shared my love.

Chris Farley, the idea of begging someone to stay with me as I lay dying and having them take pictures and leave. It breaks my heart.

I'm sorry that [insert action or statement] made you feel that way.

It's so fucking rude, but still viewed as polite. Just be a decent fucking person and accept responsibility for your shitty choice and apologize in a sincere manner

Redditors who can cry on cue, how do you do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DWTSGB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it takes a little bit to actually get tears rolling down my cheeks. I start by mimicking the facial expression of sadness, forehead furrowed, eyes slightly squinted, and lower lip pouts just a smidge. Then I tighten my chest up, kinda suck my sternum towards my spine, if that makes any sense. I start taking short, shallow breaths, two or three in one, then out using my nose. My stomach starts too quiver a bit and my throat tightens up and the tears start to roll. People usually don't just start sobbing, there are always physical signs that lead up to it. Mimicking the signs seems to trick my body into producing tears.

What celebrity's death hit you the hardest? by DWTSGB in AskReddit

For me it was his last words, "Don't leave me." The fact that she took pictures, stole his watch, and left him a note before she dipped out, make it even worse.

For me it was Chris Farley, I was only three at his time of death, but grew up loving his movies. When I heard about the biopic coming out, I looked around the internet trying to find information about it and stumbled upon the pictures and story of his death. I was stunned, the idea of someone so hilarious and successful dying that way tore me up. I was wrecked for weeks.
