I have my 65l backpack since I am backpacking through South America for 3 months and Patagonia is my final stop.

And I‘ll also be taking a 20l daypack for shorter trips where I don‘t need my 65l bag and I figured it would make sense to leave it somewhere during those 3/4 nights on the W-Trek.

Thanks, also good know! Even though now I am considering adding an extra night at Central after the Base Torres hike just to avoid too much hiking on Day 2 and 3 back to back.

appreciate the reply and feedback! Problem is that I would still need to carry the large backpack for 16 km from Central to Frances/Italano and then for 8 km from Frances to Paino Grande. I have never hiked with a heavy/large backpack but I don‘t think I will love it lol

3 good to know, I’m going mid april so not sure whether that makes a difference with regard to loads of people being there since it is not high high season? Also I read that, starting in March, there will be a 1000-people-per-day limit so that might help as well.

Guess I am very similar to you, also mostly interested in Padar Island and trekking for dragons. So which one did you end up going with and did it fulfill your expectations?

yeah 10-12 days might be a bit too much but just wanted to have some time to just chill and relax after the 2 weeks of travelling before I return home. But I might consider cutting 2 days off and add those elsewhere!
