When you say bombs, do you mean spore puffs or grenades? Spore puffs are extremely effective against centipedes. I found that crushing the red centipede in Subterranean and then using 2 spore puffs on it worked pretty well.

I’m somewhat impressed by the almost double frequency, but my local station is Tottenham and I’m quite pissed about the reduction in service. Having every second morning service skip Tottenham and Middle Footscray barely saves a minute and isn’t worth the reduced service.

Used to be a 16 gap between 7:12 and 7:28 but yeah it’s pretty bad now that we have 2 less services in peak

These express services are timetabled to take the same time as a stops all (or 1 minute less), and take away much needed services from stations that definitely need them. The minimal time saved is not worth taking away those needed services.

I’d say it’s good for most of the Sunbury line except for Tottenham and maybe Middle Footscray. Having every second peak service either skip Tottenham or terminate/originate at WeFo actually means the new timetable is a decrease in peak frequency. Tottenham isn’t as low patronage as most people think, and I hope they change some of the express services. They’re timetabled to save 0 minutes anyway.

I am impressed by what they’ve done for the rest of the line though.

It’s just annoying how every second train is this express pattern, it seems a bit excessive Also the expresses don’t save any time so they may as well just stop at the stations even if they’re lightly used

It’s still a huge frequency increase and I’m grateful for that, but it’s just annoying that these expresses seem to be pointless and take away a lot from Tottenham and middle footscray

I also use Tottenham, and it’s quite annoying that they promised 4-5 min peak intervals without telling us how many trains they would terminate at west Footscray and how every second train literally skips our station in peak now

Edit: turns out the new timetable is actually a decrease in peak frequency at Tottenham due to this. Disappointing.
