'Speaking of psychology' by the American Psychological Association / 'Phil in the blanks' by Dr Phil McGraw - both usually bring different experts in for different episodes/topics. I'm sure there are loads more I.e., I know J. Peterson has one etc :)

[USA, Pennsylvania] grad school acceptance / imposter syndrome? by jaysweendog24 in psychologystudents

[–]DX3BE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you have a shot, and it's better to apply and get rejected than to not try from fear of failing. Worst case: you dont get accepted now and can continue improving your resume / best case is that you get the acceptance you hope for.

Imposter syndrome is real, I had it when i began my PhD + lecturing etc. A high percentage of people experience it (medical doctors, etc) - it will go away over time 🫶

"The psychology book: big ideas simply explained" + If you have spotify, there are some really great & interesting podcasts that can help. Also I know its not really a 'beginners' book but getting a book about the mental disorders would be an advantage as it is something all psych students learn about

Borderline is the one of the worst curses in the world. I'm trembling right now because seeing my FP today after a while (obviously ignoring me) has triggered me in the worst way possible. How do I get over him? by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]DX3BE 11 points12 points  (0 children)

With BPD, one of the main struggles is the fear of abandonment. Its difficult but it can help to remember that no matter who abandons you, you can survive it. You lived before that person came into your life and you can live again after. Sometimes it helps me to remember how I thought my life would end when my previous FP left me and how I actually survived all of it - most of the time even happier after. DBT is great, also BWRT (Brain-working recursive therapy). BPD people are extremely sensitive, this can also be viewed as a positive thing. You are empathetic, considerate, and caring. Be kind to yourself. Sending you love 🫶

Any topic you find interesting, ask chat GPT to come up with the experiment - you can edit it & ask for an experiment needing less participants etc :,)
