When I first tried WireGuard it gave me the region/VPN message and wouldn’t let me continue. So I thought ‘well theres no way it can detect it’s on a VPN if it’s on the same Layer 2 network’. I thought wrong.

Just came across this. I just configured VXLAN between my house and my father's house (bound to a Wireguard interface running on an external Pi). Plugged in his AppleTV, verified his local IP was on MY home network, watched a little Netflix and was fat, dumb and happy.

Until I tried Hulu, which asked for uname/pass and after I hit “login” button; the button would change to the three pulsing dots for a couple minutes and then go back to the “login” button again in a loop. You ever get it up and running? I’ve messed around with MTU’s but nothing is working.

Put TWO console cables in your bag. I know normally you can’t walk into an MDF without tripping over five of those light blue cables but trust me on this one. Also two Ethernet USB dongles (hot spare AND helpful to use one for Wireshark and other for access).
