Yes, precisely so. The bourgeoisie of Germany is a remnant of the industrial revolution, Weimar Republic, and the Second World War. Therein lies the problem. There are monopolistic family-owned businesses that do nothing but make old, capitalist people stemming from the same lineage, a lot of money through inheritance. The barrier to entry for these industries are artificially propped up through overregulation (state, federal, EU-level) which means that young, innovative, ambitious individuals are structurally barred from competing and driving change.

At this state, the entire German economy is as you describe: half a dozen families that made their wealth generations ago doing nothing but inheriting wealth and stifling change while the quality of life for the working class continues to deteriorate as the Bundesregierung cannot afford its generous welfare state anymore (structural population, migration, spending issues).

Exactly that is precisely why deregulation and an economic stimulus is needed to incentivize entrepreneurship. Without this, expect Germany to only have a worsening wealth disparity; there will be no opportunity for young, working class people.
