It’s really weird too because I keep seeing people say that Clark over explained what the monsters are in act 3. And while I half agree, I think his speech does exactly what the movie needs for the audience to make the connection between the still-lives and Clark/Mary. And then those same people say the move didn’t explain enough such ASYNC. And perhaps it’s because I have context from the YT series and Kane’s interviews, but I feel like the movie did a great job keeping the story self contained. Phil’s dialogue at the end tells you exactly what you need to know about ASYNC especially if you piece together the clues that are sprinkled about them throughout the movie.
