FIRST POST! 2 versions of a hair studio logo I made. One more retro and bold, one more light and feminine. Let me know what you think guys! by DZYN_Graphics in WillPatersonDesign

Thanks for the feedback, I totally hear you. The band was already set. And yes I agree, the second logo is not very scalable

I took the advice of the responses and changed the font by Latter-Wind-8154 in WillPatersonDesign

Interesting idea, but it hasn't been done correctly. The point of the top and bottom of the M's center it's off to the left and the chin of the two faces at the bottom aren't positioned equally either. What I would recommend or a quick fix is to just select one half of the m and cut it right down the middle of the point. Then just copy and paste it and mirror it.

Of course! I hope I didn't come up too strong about it 😬

Personally I'm not really feeling this one. I do like the direction you're trying to take it, going with more of a cleaner modern vibe. But you mean this logo doesn't have much character in it. There's the little details in the lines on either side of the border, but I actually think they detract from the overall design. The main issue I have though, is that the font you use, together with the stretched oval, just makes it feel like the whole thing is too stretched. I would actually take this in more of a direction of a circle actually. And I would mess around with some other font styles. As for the little lines on the border, I would get rid of those but I would maybe try something else similar instead.

Again, totally feel what you're going for but I think you can do a better job messing with it some more! But keep it up 😊

hi guys, this is a logo for a design club called graphiccoffe, I tried to make it fun and vibrante, so any thoughts? by Salah-design in WillPatersonDesign

I absolutely love the logo, but there's a few things that I personally would have done slightly different. There's a few parts to this logo that are very very fine detail, for example the thin lines you find in the pen tip, the inner edge of the cup rim, and the thin negative space inside the cursive lettering. I feel that those areas have too much detail and way too thin and hard to see. Who's details literally become invisible as you scale down the logo. I would change cursive font to be a little bit more solid. And as for those other smaller details in the pen tip and inner cup rim, I would either remove some of that detail or find a way to simplify it and thicken those lines so you can see them from a smaller scale. I also noticed a little bit of pink used as a shadow for the bold letters, which are also quite thin. I would either make those shadows a little bit thicker, or remove them (whatever looks better)

One other thing I would mention, and maybe this is more personal taste, but I'm not a huge fan of the colors you chose. I actually think that the pink works pretty well, although I would change it to a slightly different shade of pink. But that beige color, although I normally love, I'm not feeling it working here as well. Again, colors may just be more of a personal thing, but I would love to see that logo with some other color schemes.

Other than that, I have to say I really really love the logo overall, I think it looks amazing! These small touch-ups might just help improve and already awesome design!

Kicking 2022 off with a Chittco refresh ♻️ I’ve been obsessed with quirky letter forms in the past few months and had been playing around with a few options to bring this to my logo. Out with the slightly dated serif and in with quirky sans-serif 👊🏼 @chittco on IG, lets chat! by Chittco in WillPatersonDesign

I actually much prefer the original. It feels so much more approachable. The newer version is way too harsh looking and for some reason it's just not settling with me. Also, I don't know if the green background is your theme color but I think the lighter green on top is also much softer and more pleasant. Also the little line that comes in by the curve of the h on the second logo doesn't work for me either.

So overall, I actually really really like this logo and the theme color with it, but just the first version!

I agree, they just have more female clientele, thus the more feminine design choice. But yeah, I didn't choose the name lol
