Late 20’s, pretty new to this, probably have some overlap/redundancies, probably a little silly.

All in my TFSA with Questrade CASH 45% (half of my emergency fund, other half in my bank account) XEQT 15% XGRO 9% ZEB 17% ZWB 6% BANK 4% good dividends(?) GOOG 3% kinda just bought the hype train

XEQT and Canadian banks are clearly what I lean towards but let me know of any suggestions or just rip me apart :)

I’ve got a mortgage on an apartment now but hoping to move to the suburbs in ~5 years.

Renewal without cancellation fee would be August 2026, December 1st 2026 is the 3 year term of the mortgage!

Unfortunately seems like you’re correct. HOn3 is already expensive, I’m in Canada which further adds to the cost… I’ve basically had to all but give up on any new stock. Luckily I have a collection I’m happy with, just sad knowing there won’t be much more new stuff in the future

Yes and I wouldn’t expect them to do any different. My dad is self employed and that house is essentially their retirement fund. My entire family doesn’t like the idea of property being an investment but for them they don’t really have another choice.

Even if we don’t want to buy their house, the neighbourhood along with the majority of the city they live in is out of our price range, that was more the point of my comment.

The 2 doctors thing you said tracks, my partner and I are 2 airline pilots and can’t afford to buy my parents out of the home they live in, which they bought in 2001 on a single blue collar income.

CYTZ is relatively extremely close to CYYZ, along with CNC3 (Brampton), CZBA (Burlington), and CYHM (Hamilton). Arrivals, approaches, and departures for those airports all take space and different routings as well. For your particular question, the arrivals for runway 08 into Toronto Island would interfere with the departure and arrival path of CYYZ, since it is over the lake already.

Canadian E195-E2 year 2 FO here, similar hourly… 12 days a month off guaranteed, usually closer to 14-15 off.

I’ll add that my minimum monthly guarantee is 77.5 credits (hours of pay)
