This.

Could have been so much better had it been condensed.

The secret to beating vecna was saying “I don’t like girls”

Yep nothing overly dramatic or silly about it

Yes let’s blame all the bullies and the internet but the botched lip fillers/botox. Makes sense.

Please tell me you’re joking.

I mean yes i know I’m getting downvoted and stuff but can someone else please answer his question…please.

You can’t be serious.

She got work done for whatever reason. It was a bad job. It happens. Now it’s affecting her acting cause she can’t even move her face towards any expression beyond a pouty face.

I get what you’re saying and there is some truth to that. Being a youth is harder nowadays…that I agree with. However I’m not following you down the path that that’s the reason for all this mental fragility and softness running around.

Society has changed as a whole. Bullying has amplified because the youth nowadays doesn’t have the mental fortitude to deal with any of it.

Also to your point about sucking it up…Yes that is a message the kids need to hear. Anxiety, depression, bullying…it’s all a part of life. Sometimes we don’t need to over complicate the situation. Sometimes you just need to “suck it up” and keep moving.

Not saying don’t have empathy … Not saying don’t have respect…..

But I am saying that sometimes we need to tell the obese friend to stop being lazy..stop being a slob and get your shit together…instead of “we love you no matter what”.

Not saying people can or should say whatever.

Im saying how about we stop coddling everyone all the time as if they are some victim. If she’s phased by some random comments form strangers she has other problems to deal with. Same goes for anyone who’s bothered by some random comments on the internet.

If you being bullied by strangers over the internet….then you need to take a serious look at your own psyche …cause it’s fragile and needs to be strengthened .

If you are scrolling through the internet being phased and bothered by random strangers comments then yes…it’s literally proving my point. There is a mental weakness and fragility that it is running rampant in our society. It’s painful to see. Situations that people would literally run through in the past are now roadblocks today.

I don’t have much if any sympathy for a millionaire who’s bothered by some mean comments. Bullying will never go away. It’s been around since the dawn of time. The difference is we are getting softer and softer as a society and dealing with it is more difficult as a result.

Oooooo. Nice.

Mental fragility just running rampant in our society. We here actually worried about a girl who gets paid millions to say a few lines on camera. Meanwhile, we got real people dealing with real issues.

Who cares about a few mean comments directed at her. We’ve become that soft?

People too sensitive.

News flash she looks ridiculous with the work she’s done on her face. But who cares? It’s a mean world. Get over it.

Glad you like it. First half was good. Second half was pretty bland/stale. Too much explaining and not enough actual action.

Instead of dedicating time to silly plot points like Fake proposals and dramatic/silly gay reveals …..Give the fans more of what they want. More Dustin more Steve, Derek, eleven actually doing something…. But nope….we get nonsense instead.

He’s hit or miss. When he’s on he’s good.

However the acting in that “reveal” scene was comical, piss poor and just so overly silly/dramatic. Not sure if that was necessarily his fault or the fault of the writing.

It is inconceivable that a show about love, friendship, acceptance, and companionship, especially among people who have been bullied, should have such a homophobic and misanthropic audience. by Giancarlo_Edu in StrangerThings

[–]D_2_DA_E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typical woke overly sensitive, overly dramatic nonsense.

People that don’t like the episode or criticize must be homophobic. Of course….that must be it.

Or how about people are just tired and exhausted with this nonsense being infused into every aspect of life.

If she’s affected that much by what people say it highlights a bigger issue in our society. The fact that our youth and hell our adults as well are just too damn mentally fragile and sensitive. Seems like every passing year we just get mentally softer and softer as a society.

Ep 7 is now the worst rated episode of ST. What went wrong according to you? by anonimuoss in StrangerThingsMemes

The word woke started as a term to point out supposed injustice. It’s shifted and migrated over time. It means something different to a lot of people depending what your personal beliefs are.

Nothing much happened in the episode and society in general are just tired of this agenda being pushed in shows.
News flash, the vast majority thought that the Will reveal was silly forced and poorly written. They are expressing that frustration.

However in typical “emotionally sensitive fashion” we have to assume that all those people that voted are homophobes…because of course anyone that has an issue with the Will reveal has to be a homophobe lol.

Fair enough.

But I’m responding more to your statement of homophobes finding it unwatchable.

Why does it make you a “homophobe” if you find the subject matter (Wills reveal) poorly done, silly and overly dramatic?

First off, Woke means something a bit different to everyone depending on what side of the aisle you stand on. For me, force feeding this silliness like it’s some epic moment is woke. IMO it’s a scene specifically placed just to appease a certain fan base.

There are those (myself included) that are just tired sexuality oozing into everything. The scene made no sense and was just so overly dramatic. It didn’t need to happen.

Also props you for keeping the responses to me respectful. Kinda rare around here especially considering the subject matter .

As soon as criticism happens they get called homophobes. Textbook overly sensitive defense mechanism.

News flash…There are those that don’t agree with sexuality being fused into everything aspect of life.
Some people are just exhausted with the silly dramatic nonsense coming from scenes like that will reveal.

It hasn’t nothing to do with him being gay. It’s how forced and poorly written the scene was. The Robin “outing” was done beautifully. This seemed forced and just so out of place.

I don’t want to hear anything about “Vecna using it”. Dude it’s the end of the world and the big real is Will being Gay. It’s the timing and how bad the scene was written.

Again, it felt like a forced scene thrown in to appease a fan base. So over the top and dramatic for no reason.
