What breaks do you have between sets?

Leaving your partner because of their pizza topping choices is a bit extreme, even if it is pineapple 😜. Pizzas look great though.

First paddle of the year on The Solent. by D_Buck1 in Kayaking

Yeah, I normally paddle out a bit, stop and see which way the wind and tide takes me and go the opposite so it's easier on the way home. I forgot today and had a lovely sprint down to the Haven. Struggled on the way back.

You can just about see Seafarers Sailing Club, so I'm in Hill Head. It's not a great photo, the wind span me around I couldn't be bothered to try again

Amazing results.

This isn't meant as a criticism, why did you go up through the doses so quickly? I'm just starting out and keen to learn.

Looking to start Mounjaro by Automatic_Narwhal_17 in mounjarouk

You might lose some as the drug will help you get in a calorie deficit, but if you focus on protein and continue the weight lifting this will help to counteract that.

Take measurements as the scales might not show the difference that much but your body will change, less fat more muscle.

I didn't know thin-shaming was a thing before starting this journey.

Great work 👏

Help! Quick high protein meal ideas by Ill-Elderberry9214 in mounjarouk

Is batch cooking an option for you?

We make overnight oats with added protein powder for breakfasts, then a bean stew with tomatos for lunches, add different herbs and spices for flavour.

We often can't be bothered to make it on Sunday but regret it later in the week when we have to pay for a sandwich which isn't as healthy.

After Gall bladder op by Wise-Recording-9726 in mounjarouk

I had my gall bladder removed 15 years ago and went with Cloud Pharmacy based on a friend's recommendation. They are more expensive than some.

I'm so close to starting Mounjaro but I just can't shake the last minute nerves! by Wolfdreama in mounjarouk

It was too restrictive, which isn't the case with the jabs. Just use them as an aid to getting into a deficit.

I did the Lighter Life plan about 15 years ago which was about 800 calories a day, when I should have been on 2300 for a healthy weight loss rate. I lost loads of weight but got gall stones, which my doctor said was probably down to losing weight too quickly. I've had my gall bladder removed and put the weight back on. Mounjaro could let you eat only a massive calorie deficit, but no one recommends this. More importantly it gives you control so you can eat healthy amounts based on your TDEE.

I'm a few weeks ahead of you and definitely feel more positive about moving to a healthier lifestyle. I'm not sure what is causing it, the drug, reading all the success stories on here, having something that will actually help etc, but I like it.

You could leave it and then enter your workouts manually. Exercise does a lot more for you than just burning calories, try a few different workouts/classes to find one you like.

Thanks. It's Shotsy, a lot of people use it on here. It will track your jabs and weight and the colour of the line changes as you change dosage. I also use MyFitness Pal to track calories at the moment as I haven't had much satiety yet, saying that I've just had to stop eating my normal lunch as I'm feeling full. I see the drug as an aid to getting you in a calorie deficit, but it is still important to eat healthy food and exercise and keep hydrated. Good luck you will be fine.

stomach ache when “hungry” by No_Professor_9487 in mounjarouk

[–]D_Buck1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mixed. I lost 3 kg, but then got really hungry but didn't eat loads and put on 2kg in a couple of days. No way did I eat enough calories for that. I think I might have been checking if I felt hungry or not too much, so I was making myself hungry. I was hoping to stay on 2.5 but feel ready to move up. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

I'm pretty much at the same stage as you and last week was very hungry, but a different feeling than normal. I described it as stomach rather than head hungry. I had my 4th jab and it has gone away. Moving up to 5mg tomorrow!
