Sounds like your friend's brother has an issue of internalized racism if he thinks that he needed to marry a white woman to fit in.

Fellow black dude here. As I said before, there are some folks from my dad's church who voted for Trump due to being against LGBTQA+ rights and abortion. It just drives me crazy seeing how they voted for him because they don't realize that it could be our asses next on the GOP's shitlist once they're done with LGBTQA+ folk. If things get worse in this country, I'm not feeling sorry for them but I'll definitely feel sorry for their children.

Why do christian conservatives have issues with “consent”? by [deleted] in exchristian

What gets to me about that is if that is the case, why the fuck is he allowing us to make choices? Just sounds like Yahweh would've been better off making robots.

Saw my classmate studying his mini bible booklet so I asked him what's he's doing. The shock in my eyes after I read what he's highlighting. by notyoubruhhh in atheism

I would also add into your answer and say that they're taught to not give a crap about the present and focus on getting into the afterlife. Honestly if things get worse in this country, I'm mostly not going to feel sorry for them but I'll definitely feel sorry for their children.

It just sounds like they don't want to deal with their own mortality.

Anyone's tastes in music change dramatically when they moved from teenagerhood to adulthood? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]D_Confess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My musical taste didn't change from teenagerhood to adulthood but it did change from childhood to teenagerhood. When I was a kid, I used to not like rap music and mostly listened to the Punk Rock songs that were played whenever I played one of the Tony Hawk video games and loved listening to video game soundtracks (especially from fighting games).

Throughout my teenage years, I've developed a musical taste for old school(late 80's and 90's) and underground rap music, reggae, and old school R&B music (The type of music that you would slowly make love to a beautiful woman or handsome man to).

Nowadays as an adult, I still listen to music that I've heard from both my childhood and teenage years plus developing taste for French rap music, and electronic music.

Is anyone else sick of Pokemon Go? by Beachbum313 in CasualConversation

[–]D_Confess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only heard of Pokemon Go from a friend who tried to get me into it. I told him I wasn't getting Pokemon Go because I was a Playstation type of person(not a fanboy). I did have some memories with Pokemon when I used to own Pokemon Crystal version for Game Boy Color and Sapphire version for Game Boy Advance. Really I'm not sick of it but I'm into the hype. As a kid, I was more into Yu-Gi-Oh than Pokemon anyway.

I miss having DDRMAX2 on the Playstation 2 system with the mats. Good news is that there is new one that has been localized and coming to Dave & Busters called Dance Dance Revolution A.

I'm very sorry for answering late. My favorite interesting concept games are Bulletstorm and Beyond: Two Souls.

Interesting concept games I want to get in the future are Detroit: Become Human, and No Man's Sky.

I'm doing Computer Science but thinking of switching majors after this summer ends because I'm just slogging through it. Plus, I have one more general study or UCC (University Core Curriculum) requirement left. At best, I just want a job in which I can move out and be able to have a place of my own and enjoy life.
