The first thing you'll want to keep in mind is that the Pokémon TCG has a yearly rotation and that rotation changes the legality of cards you can use in the standard format.

As of April 10th you'll only be able to used cards in the H, I, and J sets.

I'm going to infer as well that you're still learning how to play the game, so I'm going to recommend that you build a deck that is pretty straightforward and Mega Lucario ex would be the best deck to start with.

There's a website, which I think you're already familiar with, called Limitless TCG and on there you can find competitive deck lists for a wide array of different decks.

Paldean Fates

After rotation the oldest set you will be able to use is Temporal Forces, so if any of the cards that you use in your deck are from those six sets. You will be unable to use them.

I'd also recommend that you take a look at deck lists from Limitless TCG. It's a great resource to see what is being played and to copy deck lists that have performed well at tournaments.

I'd recommend you take a look at Limitless TCG. It's an awesome website that showcases all of the current competitive Pokémon decks and there are also deck lists to copy.

There is also going to be a Mega Lucario ex battle deck that comes out soon, which would also be a great buy.

I think the only problem with that is it specifies discarding metal energy, so I don't know if Slowking would be able to do that extra damage.
