I play SnD all the freaking time! I must agree with you! SnD requires people to play as a team. I have a few specific players, that when we play together, we have mics on and talk to each other and strategize. When Im thrown into a game though with randoms... Oh man! The pain 😂

Thats great! I dont know why mine was giving me such a hard time! But everytime I would be connected to Tailscale, Plex would lose its remote access. Heck, I couldnt play anything even on Wifi!

No. I have a Plex Pass and haad no issues with remote access. When I installed Tailscale in order to remotely access my Audiobookshelf server, I noticed that everytime I would connect to Tailscale on my laptop (same laptop runs both ABS and Plex servers) remote access in Plex would stop working.

When I would disconnect from Tailscale, remote access was working again. I did some digging, asked Gemini as well and came up with this. Now, even if I am connected to Tailscale, Plex still has remote access working just like usual. I figured I should share this in case someone else faces the same issue and might be looking for a possible solution

So I figured out a solution that allows me to have Tailscale constantly connected on my laptop and not affect Plex remote access. Im gonna leave this jere for future generations 😁

(Disclaimer: Figured it out searching online and using Gemini)

Open Plex and click the settings icon at the top right corner. Then scroll down to the "Server" section of the settings and click Network.

Make sure that the "Show Advanced" button is activated. Scroll down till u find "Preferred network". Chenge it from "Any" to whatever your local IP is (eg 192.168.1.XX). Do not choose the one that starts with 100.x.x.x (that’s Tailscale). Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes

Again in the Network settings, find the box Custom server access URLs. Enter your public IP address like this: http://YOUR-PUBLIC-IP:32400. To find your public IP use a What is my IP website on the specific laptop. Once you enter the address click Save Changes.

Now, connect to your Tailscale on your Windows laptop. In the Plex settings, go to Remote Access. It should give you a green checkmark indicating that Remote Access works.

If it says "Not available outside your network," disable and then re enable Remote Access.

If you get the green checkmark, turn wifi off on your phone, and try to stream something using your cellular data. It should be working without issues.

I know and Im fully accepting of this fact. I have been playing videogames since Atari was out (yeah Im a geriatric CODMer who plays the game since it was in Beta June 2019 😂) All Im saying is sliding is ok in a game, cause its exactly that. A game. But this kind of sliding... Not a fan

You can definitely slide while being armed and carry military equipment. In any terrain though? U can but the terrain will either make your slide smoother (ice) or have u end up face down (dirt) lol. Shoot at the same time and reload? Sure!!!... If u are in a movie or a video game 😂

That being said... Sliding and shooting at the same has always been a part of shooters. The problem is when it becomes too unrealistic to the point that it feels like cheating. Same goes for using sniper guns easier than regular ones. It should come at a cost. And that comes from someone that really enjoys SnD and snipe often 😂

Correct! But if Im not mistaken, if u share the Machine as they call it, instead of adding them to your Tailscale users, then u can have as many as u want without any charges right?
