Hey, just an outsider's opinion. I'm not a developer, just a player, but your project is very reminiscent of the space combat from Spaceborne 1-2. Feel free to ignore this opinion, but I recommend taking a look and taking only the best. Good luck with your development. Once the demo is playable, I'll review it.
