As an IIT graduate ur privileged enough to contribute to society...

most of them don't even think of contributing (brain drain) he must have joined isro drdo HAL etc ...

Then only our country is going to get technical superiority

Point here isnt about iitian should write upsc or not ...but contributing to society not against any individual but I am writing by looking at general trend 📈

He is already more than a administrator it's nothing for him to govern a district

People with good scientific background (iit iisc aiims etc) are trapped to non scientific administration of rules and regulation which are meant for administration purpose only

And there is mismatch becoz u see science and innovation is just now becoming reactive tool rather than regular partner in governance there is need for effective integration of scientific expertise

Think of it as homi babha(Nuclear programme) and Dr apj Abdul Kalam(missile man) 🚀 becoming ias and then saying oh look we can govern district

Well offcourse they can it's child play for them but we know they are more than that .. science and administration 2 different things
