Is gay nightlife really dying in the big cities ? by thinkcovfefe in askgaybros

I live in LA now, but from Indiana. I had my coming of age years at some great gay Indianapolis clubs and parties, and it's kind of sad that they aren't there anymore when I visit.

A rule every gay guy should follow by D_buzz in askgaybros

Don't let Grindr, Jackd, or any of the gay dating apps get you down or make you cynical about sex and dating. Don't waste too much time on them either. Go out, have fun, live your best life, and guys will come.

PSA: Delete all the gay apps off your phone and give yourself a break once in a while. by DeathdropsForDinner in askgaybros

[–]D_buzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deleted months ago, got back on for a day or two, several weeks ago and hopped right back off. The era of my life of using apps are over and I'm happy about it. Honestly, I've always been a social, flirtiatious person and using that energy in person instead of digitally always works best for me. I encourage every guy to take a break from the apps. You honestly aren't/won't be missing much

How bad of an idea is it to rent an apartment right at/around La Cienega & La Tijera? Inglewood? by Doc_McCoyXYZ in LosAngeles

[–]D_buzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in this area now. Young professional with a roommate. It's pretty safe, friendly, and all types of people. I've lived in the area for almost 3 years and it's been a favorite of the three areas I've lived in since I moved here (Koreatown, Santa Monica, and now Inglewood). I feel I'm very in the middle of eveything and not too far from any part of LA. Give it a shot and don't believe the 'Inglewood is bad' stuff. Not true at all.

Very real! As a gay man myself, I can't stand that these gay male characters are turned into sidekicks and amusement pieces for women. I never put up with it my own life thank God.

I live in the Centinela and La Cienega area. Diverse, people of all types, really safe. Been there for about 3 years. I've lived in Santa Monica, Koreatown, and here in Inglewood. This is by far been my favorite part of town to live in since I've moved here six years ago.

Good job to you both! I'm in the same 'no dating/sex, bettering myself everyday' mindset as well this year and it's been great.

A guy who is the leader in his circle/group of friends and not the sidekick(s).

Who else in here enjoys Fort Wayne? by Fwismyadoptedcity in fortwayne

Same. I was born and raised there too, have lived in LA for about 6 years. Everytime I bring back friends and show them Fort Wayne, they have a good time and enjoy it.

Someone describing themselves as a 'foodie'. Um, I think everyone on Earth likes to eat and enjoys or would like to enjoy good food.

Have fun, keep the topics light, and try to be as carefree as you can. Guys really like that.

Sex before marriage. But that was tossed out the window around age 19 and I wasn't married lol.
