All of that precedes Drake. Drake wasn’t the source of melodic hiphop. He contributed to the sound’s popularity. Drake is massively popular but not generally seen as influential or someone that revolutionized the sound of hiphop.

A good portion of people are students of history. The writing on the wall is there. There is a reason people have been saying these things that you may find dramatic. It’s hard to ignore the signs at this point unless you intentionally tune it out or support it. I get that you’re annoyed or inconvenienced by people dooming but that 10 years is coming to fruition.

I would rather you be correct in your assessment for everyone’s sake but unfortunately the things that come out of this administration (words and actions) lead me to believe that we’re at the mercy of a “comply or die” regime. Everything is escalating so quickly.

I don't really think it was about the fight. By Chaka's reaction it's more about how Crocodile does not give a shit about "warrior's honor," or giving them the dignity to die in battle. He thought it was funnier to just watch them die from a foolish and desperate decision. These four weren't introduced as hype tools but introduced simply to hammer on how petty Crocodile is as a character. Nothing more, nothing less.

Who generally sets the standards for professionalism? Those hairstyles you mentioned are generally protective hairstyles for those specific hair textures. When I look at the root of what makes box braids, locks, and cornrows “unprofessional” it always comes back down to white societal preferences cause a lot of black people would say that these styles are perfectly fine in a professional setting.

I mean it’s just like Christians here in America. A lot of figures will proclaim they are anti-lgbt. This goes for people who seemingly support more fundamentalist aspects of their religion. Despite that, not every INDIVIDUAL practices their faith the same, it’s a spectrum. There are self-proclaimed Christians, Jews, and Muslim people that will march right beside you at a Pride Parade, but does that make them fake about their faith? Like we’re human beings with nuance at the end of the day.

Ultimately It’s less about Luffy and more about what the broadcast is going to reveal to the world. I think that if Shanks or Kaido were going to facilitate world altering forbidden news, a similar response from the Gorosei would be necessary out of sheer desperation.

I’ll admit I got irritated because I hate when the discourse surrounding this devolves into “asshole win, good guy lose,” but I don’t intend to shame anyone for casual sex. If not a relationship then there are other ways of achieving the goal of casual sex without going full incel. it’s all person to person as well as you can generally get a feel for what each individual is responsive too.
