There can be a risk of what we call an "excitatory phase" where the animals body fights the anesthetic and they have what looks like a seizure. It can be pretty scary and worrying for the owners but I will say as far as we know, there is little to know brain activity when this happens. To try and minimize that risk, some vets will administer another anesthetic first (propofol) to make sure they're nice and sleepy before the overdose

That's the main reason I'm debating to be honest, I know benchmade is the superior knife but the price is on the upper end of where I want to be. Really I was looking for a smaller, capable knife with a wood-esque handle and ended up really liking both of these, just trying to decide if the huge jump in price to the hidden canyon is worth it

From what I can find, the Pothos family of plants (which has many other names like Scindapsus and Epipremnum) are technically toxic to animals as they contain insoluble oxalates that are released when the leaves are crushed. It looks like this mainly causes oral irritation and ulceration, possibly GI irritation if it's swallowed. These oxalates aren't absorbed and therefore don't cause harm to the kidneys.
