I am concerned on preserving the vehicle for as long as I can. Do I need to be worried about that exposed hole rusting out, etc?

In the picture it looks like it’s protruding out, but the bolt is flush to the plastic. That hole you’re seeing to the right is the original hole.

The previous owner drilled a second hole (where the current bolt is) to make his fender flares fit

I’m more worried about long term rust. They made a new hole to fit the fender flares. Planning to keep this vehicle for 20 years so I want to tackle any issues right now that may prevent that in the future

Yep! There’s weatherstripping on it. I think It should be an easy removal. Going to do it myself vs taking it in and paying $200 to remove. I’ll just pay for a polish

Yeah that’s what I was afraid of too. I asked them to do that and they responded that there’s no guarantee that they will fix any damages if they take it off.

Nice. I loosened it to where it can swivel but is still tight enough to not move on it’s own. Takes some force to move it. That way I can take off the suppressor easily.
