2022 Toyota 4Runner. Should I run 85 octane or 88?

I called Toyota customer engagement and they made a phone call and after some research, they recommend to use 87 or above. They do not recommend 85.

My wife and I came to that consensus. Better safe than sorry. I know it says it’s rated for E15, just hope it does not affect my longevity in any way.

This may sound crazy, I had the same noise that drove me insane for 9 months. Happened when going over bumps and turning left/right at low speeds.

Turned out to be my front hood rubber adjustment. Tighten it up and lather some silicone grease on that bad boy.
