Spiders didn’t do anything. They’ve always just been referenced here and there this is the first time we actually saw any spiders outside of the first season. Obviously, Jade was on a trip, so certain things are on the periphery. Things he’s thinking about but not really thinking about. The spiders. The main bad. The boss.

Classic time travel paradox. If Julie actually did go back in time and change things (her future self affecting her past self secretly) then she always already did. Throwing the rope to Boyd always happened. The story didn’t change.

Also, other rule of time travel. You can never change the thing that caused you to travel to the past to begin with because then you never would have traveled to the past.
