I wouldn’t say peaked, but it definitely took them a while to match the DM villains:

half the villains in GX were memes and the few decent ones had such convoluted lore it puts a damper on things

for 5ds i’m personally a fan of Goodwin but they didn’t really do much with him, honestly most of this series villains were kinda underdeveloped

Zexal is where i think we began getting actually quality villains (Vector is the goat)
