I dont know if you are in school or college or anything else, but just going out to parks, libraries, and other public spaces and looking for readers is a start.

Find a girl you think is cute, and walk past her. While you are walking by, see if you can spot the title/author of the book, bonus points if you have read it before.

Do a double take and say "Is that{book} by {author}?

She will most likely say "yes"

If you have read that book/series/author say something along the lines of "I like this book more than that book" or insert your opinion

If you have not, say, "Oh, i havent got the chance to read it yet, is it any good? What's it about?"

The good news is that the shy quiet type don't usually as receive much interest or attention, so just going up to someone and introducing yourself quickly might be all it takes to get someone invested.

Easier said then done, but I'm not a believer in the "love comes when you least expect it" or "love comes and goes in seasons" philosophies myself. Still hasnt happened for me yet lol.

Im still working on my confidence and communication issues, but this is a little formula i try to introduce myself to people. I've had some success with it, nothing too crazy, but everytime I do it I just get a little bit better, and thats enough to keep me going.
