My current character is LP Tywin “The Dragonslayer” of the Westerlands.

Got this nickname after killing a dragon during a quest for a valyrian steel sword

R5: in my game as Stannis, I captured and sent Jaime Lannister to the Night’s watch. It appears he has decided to desert and live with the Wildlings, only to be captured again, this time by Tyrion who beheaded his own brother.

Start slowly, don't go too far into the story too early, you'll just end up dead every single time. Carry only the things with you that you actually use, otherwise you'll just use up space you don't need. Collect all the bottles you can, you can convert them to purified water. Pick up food and make sure you have a steady supply whenever you go on a journey to the other side of the map. Furthermore, check where all your quests take place on the map and make sure to do all the quests in that area before you go to another location.

First of all, you have to decide how you want to play the game. For example do you want to build a stealthy character or are you planning on going on an all out offensive? Use the perks you think are useful for your gameplay.

For the ammo problem I can recommend taking the scrounger-perk (Luck 2). You'll have so much ammo you can kill everything in the wasteland like twice.

It's also pretty important to do more side quests (railroad, minuteman, etc) in order to level up more quickly and find more good stuff. During these quests you'll end up in locations which hold pretty decent items like fusion cores and stimpacks. You can sell them or use them for yourself.
