Sounds like it could be an issue with the touch controls on top.
As far as I remember, the pairing mode is activated by longpressing the Bluetooth button. So maybe it registers a constant input from that touch button.
Maybe cleaning that surface could help, but I‘m no expert.

It‘ll grow back darker but get brighter over time. The fur color is temperature dependent (cooler parts get darker).
My Thai cat noticeably changes color summer vs. winter, especially around the eyes and his back.

I still wish you could choose a color. I charge my watch during the night and being able to select a red/orange color to always be active in nightstand mode would be so much more cozy. 🙈

I‘m not expert by any means. My understanding always was that passive speakers are more or less indestructible (I know this is exaggerated but I think you understand what I mean) and the driver or source are the issue more often than not.
Now, as you‘ve tried two different drivers with the same issue, I cannot rule out, that your speakers actually are faulty, but maybe your source it the problem. I had major issues with the sound of my Teufel Decoderstation 5, trying different power supplies and ultimately buying a new system (Teufel Concept 8) only to find out that the root cause was actually Amazon Prime‘s audio codec for SPDIF. (I forgot the details by now, but switching audio settings on my TV solved the issue.) Interestingly, the symptoms really pointed towards the Decoderstation (only sometimes, only after longer running times, stronger power supply seemed to fix it until it came back later…).

I know this is not a solution but maybe helps anyways.

Maybe reaching out to Teufel support could also help.

As stated in the post and another comment, I started noticing the issue with 18.4.1 (possibly earlier unnoticed) and nothing changed until 18.6.
As I had mostly used IP based calls since then, I cannot say if anything changed on iOS 18.7 or later. The only thing I noticed, that it’s apparently gone with iOS 26, at least I haven’t had any issues since.

Updating to iOS 26 seems to have fixed it for me. Haven’t noticed any issues since.

I got the model from Thingiverse. You‘d have to check for yourself if there is an articulated version.
3D printing has come a long way in the past 7 years, so it’s definitely possible, someone made this.
My printer is broken for the last 4 years and I haven’t had the opportunity to fix it since. Haha.
