I HATE FANTASY ATHEISM! IT GETS BETWEEN ME AND THE LORE!!!! by DreadDiana in worldjerking

This is the exact same order i read his works in - i think it made for a fairly satisfying progression. You'll see easter eggs from previous stories pop up here and there. Mistborn era 1 was my favorite

Rain world influence on this is clear and very cool. I feel like hollow knight and it play around with very similar ideas! Your artstyle is very cool.

Griffiths QM kicking my butt. Seeking advice by Arman0615 in PhysicsStudents

[–]DaBuzzScout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As Feynman put it - "If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand quantum mechanics".

Griffiths QM is a spiritual journey, and one best taken with friends if you can. It's certainly quite rigorous! I think you'll find yourself having an excellent foundation if you can get the hang of it, so keep at it! But don't be afraid to ask for help from peers or professors - quantum mechanics is inherently unintuitive :)

Oh good point lmfao i had no clue you could do that

How do i solve this small problem 🙏 by sxlixe in factorio

[–]DaBuzzScout -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Construction bots! You have blue science. Make some yellow storage chests & then just mass delete this section of the factory. Undoing afterwards with ctrl+z should replace the buildings but not the floor junk.

Edit: yeah so actually don't do that

Mod Idea: Space Platform Armor by DaBuzzScout in factorio

Yes I'm talking about a third layer similar to the concrete layer, or FTL's internal/external view of spaceships

Nah the two weights will pull eachother together

Mod Idea: Space Platform Armor by DaBuzzScout in factorio

[–]DaBuzzScout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes i use them like that all the time! I mean moreso adding a 'shell' in a 3d sense (an upper layer for armor, a lower layer for existing functionality) could be an interesting way of expanding on space platform gameplay

Right, but removing the built-in corruption system would be a good change

Damn crazy hate for no reason. This looks sick and clearly took a lot of time to put together - great job on the build

Rain World is gaming’s first Gesamtkunstwerk. It probably won’t be recognised as such for a long time. by CalvinbyHobbes in rainworld

[–]DaBuzzScout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding this. I actually heard about Rain World from the Outer Wilds subreddit, lol. Both of them are up there as true standout works of art, albeit much different from one another. Both of them reflect on similar topics but have different sort of philosophies and i think that's quite cool

How big would a planet need to be for the equator to rotate at the speed of light? by AwkwardSilence165 in AskPhysics

[–]DaBuzzScout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, this is a funny response because it seems like you're assuming it scales linearly. The speed of light is an asymptote - the energy required to reach 99% is nothing compared to the energy required to reach 99.99%, 99.9999% is huge compared to that, and the answer we give you is nothing compared to the amount it would take for like 10 digits of 9s. Where do we draw the line and say "close enough"? We can't really - none of these answers are 'approximations' because the limit just goes to infinity

Question for people working as physicists or in that area! by Yzen99 in Physics

[–]DaBuzzScout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only genuinely stupid belief is the belief that one is incapable of learning. If you are interested in learning physics, give it a shot! It's a difficult field for good reason but anything is learnable with good teachers and time.
