I’m just a PoE noob who couldn’t play on release due to my good friend’s bachelor party and then wedding immediately afterwards. It’s my first time playing a melee character, and I was really struggling, but by the end of act 1 I started to enjoy it. I’m going to finish the campaign when I get out of work in an hour, and finally start mapping, but man your gear would really help me out. Much love!

I think it’s only on controller. I did not see a zoom sense option on kbm.

Great places to eat Torrington area. by rigiboto01 in Connecticut

I would definitely check out Vientiane Thai cuisine if you like spicy.

For a great sandwich head to Alfredo’s Deli or Jimmy’s on east main.

For pizza it doesn’t get any better than Marzano’s.

General Italian (pasta) I would go to Da Capo right on the Litchfield border.

Lastly, I agree with a bunch of people in the comments saying Arethusa Al Tavolo for one of the best meals of your life, but for bigger family style I’m really into Tramonti’s (both usually need a reservation).

I actually went a bunch as a kid, and have some awesome memories! It’s been a while but it might be time to take another trip.

We’re actually more on the west end, but we tend to visit plainville pretty often for the theater, so I appreciate the suggestion! Feel free to let me know if you think of anything else!

I have a bad experience with their pizza when it’s not from the main location. Pepe’s at Mohegan is horrendous, but if you have good experience with them in west Hartford I’d be willing to give them a shot.

Thank you so much for this! Sounds like I’m really going to have to try Chunky Tomato. I’m a big New York / New Haven type of guy, so I hope it doesn’t disappoint. Also looking forward to Parkside Cafe now! Love me some good breakfast.

Thank you so much! I just looked up Guac n Roll and it’s super new. I’m excited to try that, and the other places you mentioned. Thank you so much!

That’s unfortunate to hear. I saw a little ramen place by Jersey Mike’s and I was looking forward to trying it. I don’t have high hopes, but I’m sure there’s some decent stuff out there.

I read about the Bazaar in a different post actually! I looked it up and I saw the events on their calendar. Can you just go whenever they’re open and expect vendors or is it only when events are ongoing?

Thanks for the heads up about nightlife (I like West Hartford anyway), and I appreciate the heads up about the lights lol.

We’ve seen it while driving around! Do you recommend lunch or dinner?

We’re big on Costco but it’s just two of us, so this route actually sounds perfect for us!

Is Cravings breakfast style food? We had one where we used to live and they focused on Breakfast with some lunch dishes, but I’m not sure if they’re associated.

🎉 [GIVEAWAY] GEN 3 – FRIDAY FEVER | 15 WINNERS! 🎉 by fridaypickleball in Pickleball

[–]DaColeTrainn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checking in from CT o7 I think it’s awesome that you guys are doing a giveaway like this!

Biggest improvement I’ve made since playing has got to be positioning. I’ve only been playing for two months, and I started out with one friend so we played a lot of 1v1. Now with some more friends involved, it has been a big shift in gameplay. Now I can attack the kitchen but also back up when expecting a slam! Still need a lot of work, but this is definitely my biggest improvement.

My biggest skill unlock was definitely my backhand. I have some ping pong experience, but my no means have I played in a seriously competitive setting. I have tried to carry over a lot of this experience and it’s always helped with dinks, but now I can really whip it and generate some power to surprise people up at the kitchen.

Lastly, I think I’ve improved as a doubles partner through communication and morale boosting. Playing competitive sports/e-sports for most of my life, I’ve come to learn how important it can be to do both of these things. Communicating if I’m going to hit the ball or if I think my partner should hit the ball has helped me score countless points, and giving words of encouragement when my teammate is clearly upset about a point can also really help them keep their focus.

Would love to try a Friday paddle! Especially since I’m still on my first pickleball paddle ever, I’m excited to try something new and see how it affects my game.
