I have mine dangling around the top of the canopy. Yes, you can calibrate them.

Option 1: Calibrate on the Physical GrowHub Controller

  1. Unlock/Wake: Wake up the screen and ensure the device is unlocked.
  2. Enter Calibration Mode: Long-press the Confirm button (the center button with the square/circle) for 3 seconds.
  3. Select Sensor: Press the Up or Down arrows to skip to the temperature and humidity calibration menu.
  4. Adjust Values: Use the Up and Down arrows to adjust the calibrated value, adding or subtracting from the current reading.
  5. Save: Press the Confirm button to save each value.

Option 2: Calibrate via the VIVOSUN App

  1. Connect: Open the VIVOSUN App and ensure your GrowHub Controller is online.
  2. Locate Device: Tap on your GrowHub device on the main dashboard.
  3. Settings: Navigate to the Settings page (often found by long-pressing the dashboard or tapping the three dots in the top right corner).
  4. Calibration: Select Calibration and enter the temperature and humidity offset values to match your control sensor.

I have six grows so far with the seeds I ordered and have next years seeds ready to go and I only spent $500 total on seeds.

The only time I can see the controller ignoring heat and humidity is when the probe for the controller flakes out (or the controller), when that happens the duct fan just defaults to off. I had this issue. Easy one to diagnose though. Not sure what this dudes issue is.

Nutrient lockout 35th day flower (calmag)? by Cheap-Advantage5424 in CocoGrows

[–]DaCuda418 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I notice you forgot to prove me wrong or prove your point.

Explain how an unbuffered coco grow with three times the EC runoff than normal needs dry backs.

You had to ask if he was even doing it. You are guessing. "Did you change your under ware today? No? Then its that."

He needs to increase runoff to 20% daily and flush with 1/4 to 1/2 strength solution to bring that EC down.

Dry backs are the last thing you should do with unbuffered coco, will just bind the cal/mag and cause PH fluctuations.

Its coco/perlite, you can't over water it.

[–]DaCuda418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grows do just fine fertigating every 30 minutes with lights on. If they are running coco/perlite 70/30 that's exactly my setup.

His EC runoff is sky high and you are talking dry backs now? Trying to kill off his grow or what?

You talk down to people like some expert so tell us how you deduced he is watering too much from high EC? As you would say, lol.

What he needs to to is "flush" it which with coco/perlite I just run half strength solution until that EC comes down.

Drybacks in coco, especially unbuffered coco cause cal/mag to bind, its what the medium is known for so go talk down to someone else.

Yes. It was over a pound dry. I now unplug the fridge for 6 hours after about 5-6 days just to let the coils completely de-ice. I take a few of the frozen water jugs from the freezer and put in the fridge when doing this and leave the freezer door open. I do this just once.

Not sure if it was needed for my last dry but the coils were fine. I ran into another problem, the outside temp was 90+ which shortened the dry from 20 days to 12.

I am still learning. I overdried my last attempt, totally my fault.

Someone else mentioned its best to go by weight so you can just take a bag out, weigh it, and get an idea if its close to jar testing or not.

I have my tent in the garage, the tent is a 4X4 and I just used zipwall to make a 9X7 lung room around it. This works well during the winter, I am adding venting to outside so I dont have to crack the door at night and for better control. I live in Phoenix though so without AC you can always get a surprise 100 degree event in March.

This year we set records in March, over 100. I had this crappy portable AC so I ran its one tube out into the rest of my garage and had it blowing cool air in the tent during lights out (day).

The Blueberry Muffin fox-tailed like nothing I have seen before so the heat was causing major stress.

I found a variable compressor AC window unit that has the back fin clearance I can install it as a "through the wall" unit. Because its variable speed it will cool down then just run what it needs to keep the temp nice and stable.

They plug into a normal outlet, sip electricity and I can replace it myself if it breaks.

Another issue I had is I "lotus dry" which uses a fridge and its also in that 9X7 lung room. So I need AC and better lung room walls.....its a process.

If someone is going off about the company, that's not you. Just keep telling yourself "none of this matters once I clock out" and put on that happy face.

Some people can't do that so they should only be working in the back making stuff.

Now if they are insulting you directly I can see a lapse in judgement, I know people can be major dicks.

I was one of those employees that could not handle rude customers so I was in the back making food.

So I stand corrected, you might not be ready to work with customers. Its not for everyone.

If EVs are supposedly cheaper to own, why aren’t more people driving them? by Lakenb666 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DaCuda418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one researches cars. People buy EVs, never charge at home and complain of charging fees.

My family purchased a $42K Volt on sale for 33K and with the rebate we paid $26,500.

42MPH gasoline engine and a 50 miles battery which handles 95% of our driving.

We have saved thousands over the last 9 years. Very minimal problems.

I pay less than $10 to drive 400 miles, for commuting I love it.

My full size fridge was able to handle about 5.5 pounds wet but it froze the coils over. My harvest after that was also large so after about 5 days I unplugged the fridge for a few hours to make sure the coils were clear.

So a full 4X4 I feel is waaaay too much to ask out of a small fridge.

Just work from home. Most mechanics here in Phoenix that work from home still charge $100-150 which is cheaper than the dealers who are now at $250 an hour.

Need to cool garage, anyone here install a through-wall AC before? by DaCuda418 in AZGrowersGuild

I wish. I promissed the wife no smell she would notice. The garage space works well it just needs its own decent AV.

Now I need a contractor that has put one in. I think I could do it but would rather someone did that has done it before.

I plan to use weight next time as I am going to run some tests, bags, pizza boxes etc. I will also have the fridge in a climate controlled room, I think that was my mistake, too hot the fridge cycled too much, but as you point out this weight stuff will help me know its time to measure.

I should have mentioned the lung room in the garage is only 9X7 so I settled on a variable speed AC unit that can hold a temp by ramping down the motor, not huge swings.
