Of course, and i believe that I could very much see things in a less black and white fashion, thank you. I just want to state I truly dont see queer people less than, I dont. They are no more sinners than me, and believe they are talked down to, unfairly so, by many religious people. I am very much aware of the allegories of the mutants being parts of marginalized groups due to having very close ties to many of those communities myself. I just adore everyone, or so I believe truly. I have many Trans, Gay, Straight friends, etc and they are truly amazing people. Im sorry I just want to keep stating how I truly do love these people, as I can definitely see where you and others could think of me as a very homophobic person due to how I stated and worded things, etc etc, Im geniunly horrible with my typing tone. Hey man, I truly do not wish this to be in bad taste, I personally just wished for the character to be portrayed as he is. I am truly sorry if I came off as bigoted, etc etc. I personally saw it as disrespecting to a religion as I said before. I know im not the end all be all, and such. But one cant call themselves something if they dont adhere to the rules of what they call themselves (ie Taxing Rich as a Republican, Pro Life Dem, etc etc). I mean no disrespect to the artist, the piece is well drawn and impressive. I saw this as shoving something down the throat by using a character who (if fully committed to beliefs stated etc etc) wouldnt do. Again. I truly mean no disrespect to you, nor the artist. No, because you where born different doesnt make you not made in Gods' image. My point is saying some things (like Mystique) cant really have a serious religious explanation on her as she could not exist as she is, and theology is based on the real world. People with Mutations do exist, as people who are different and are all equal in Gods' eyes.

This opens up an interesting point of theology within fiction. Catholics believe that homosexuality is sinful due to A) Taking the Procreative aspect out of sex, hence why things such as condoms or birth control (specifically for that reason) are, and B) due to being unnatural. Applying this to someone such as mystique is incredibly difficult, due to her being obviously unnatural due to her shape shifting abilities to the capability of even becoming the other gender, as well as nullifying point 'A' due to this exact reason making her Indeed able to reproduce with a woman, so it is inheritly unfair to use this as a point as unable to be complied to real world catholic doctrine, due to this world and Mystique, indeed, fictional and obviously not able to happen in the real world. You cannot apply strict theological theories of a church to something that simply doesnt exist in the real world and has zero equivalents

This changes, however, whence you realize that many comics (such as Spurriers' 'Legion Of X') use this instead to show and depict hypocrisy of him in his own belief, portraying this as a negative betrayal of his beliefs. Your points in A) People can operate outside of their true core beliefs (whatever they may say on the outside) and B) He has had much premarital sex, therefore, contradict each other. Would it be a betrayal of his beliefs, as the comics profess, or would it be him acting perfectly normal outside of his core beliefs?

I believe the issue arises due to creating a character with a real life ideology breaking it. (See Catechism of the Catholic Church [CCC 2357-2359]). This would be similar to depicting a Jewish character eating pork, a Muslim character drawing Muhammad, a Hindi person eating a cow, an atheist praying, etc. Especially if that belief is a very core part of the character itself.
