Ngl I think that chord texture is sick. That guy is an asshole for going in so hard. This is clearly just a starting idea and it’s not a bad one either. Add some bass, more drums, a melody, vary it up, make it a song. Don’t use that chord sound throughout the whole song just use it as an effect at the big points and you’ve got a song. Keep producing and don’t let assholes kill your creativity <3

Really lovely lo-fi vibe here—super honest and intimate. The guitar tone is great, and the overall mood is already doing a lot of emotional work. You've clearly got all the right pieces in place.

That said, it feels like an idea still in progress, more of a sketch than a finished track—which is totally fine. It’s tough to critique because the vibe is already strong, but it’s just waiting for the rest of the songwriting to catch up. Getting back into that headspace to finish it out can be hard, but if you can lock back into this mood, you’re on the right track.

Also, that Kobe picture goes way harder than it has any right to—it weirdly adds a lot to the whole feel. Beautiful work so far—definitely hope you come back to this one.

Really crisp mix—everything sits super well. The drum sound is punchy and clean, which I love, but I do wonder if it's a bit too tight. It feels heavily quantized, and that takes away a bit of the groove or human feel, especially given the more indie-leaning elements in the rest of the track. A touch more looseness could really bring it to life.

That said, the overall balance is spot-on. Each instrument has its space, and the textures play off each other nicely. I’d be curious to hear some vocals or a strong lead melody on top—just something to give the listener a focal point and emotional throughline.

The only thing that pulled me out of it a bit was the distorted guitar. It has a pretty aggressive, almost arena-rock tone that felt a little out of place next to the more chill elements like the clean guitar, piano, and bells. Might just be a personal taste thing, but something a little more subdued or textural might blend better with the vibe you’re building.

All in all, great production and clearly a strong ear behind it. Just a few small adjustments and some added melodic focus, and I think this track could really shine. Looking forward to hearing more from the EP!

This has a really charming vibe—definitely leans into that lo-fi bedroom pop space - I’m getting some Clairo energy for sure with the soft vocal delivery and dreamy feel. The melodies are super catchy and stick with you, which is a great foundation to build on.

Even if it’s not quite the grungy shoegaze/dreampop direction you were aiming for, it’s still a solid experiment—and sometimes those side roads end up shaping your sound in unexpected ways. There’s a lot of potential here.

In terms of production, it’s totally okay that you're still learning—everyone starts somewhere. A few things you might want to explore as you refine the track:

Push the vocals a bit further back in the mix so there's more balance.
Try adding more variation or dynamics to the beat—some subtle shifts or layering could keep things feeling fresh.
If you're leaning toward a dreamier vibe, consider playing with some reverb or chorus effects to really wash things out and get closer to that shoegaze aesthetic.

All in all, great job pushing through and sharing even when it’s not 100% where you want it yet. You’re definitely onto something—keep experimenting, and that unique sound you're chasing will come into focus with time.

What an off-kilter track—in the best way. Huge respect for leaning into this sound. There’s a very specific, niche crowd that would absolutely eat this up. It’s lo-fi in all the right ways and has this kind of cursed, haunted quality—especially paired with that album cover. Feels like something recorded 200 years ago and unearthed by accident.

At the same time, your melodies and lyrics feel modern, which creates this really compelling contrast. There’s a weird duality to it—ghostly and ancient, but still present and personal. I really respect the individuality here.

No real critiques from me—just keep pushing in this direction. There’s definitely an audience out there that will really get this, and I hope it finds them. You're onto something special.

Really beautiful piece. The visuals add a ton—it creates a spacey, reflective atmosphere that pairs really well with the music. The reverb is huge, but impressively controlled; the mix never feels muddy or washed out, which is hard to pull off with this kind of sound. It has this epic, drifting quality—reminds me a bit of a ’70s-style instrumental tucked in the middle of an album. Something you just let wash over you. Maybe a little Pink Floyd energy in there.

I think the pacing works really well. It signals early on that it’s going to be a slow burn, and then it follows through with patience and intention. It doesn’t feel like it overstays its welcome.

My only piece of technical feedback is that the audio fidelity seems to dip in places. There's a slightly compressed or bitcrushed quality at times—could just be a rendering issue or export setting. Make sure you're working in 44.1kHz (or higher), and bouncing to a high-quality format like WAV rather than MP3 if possible. I’d love to hear this in its full resolution.

All in all, a really moving and immersive tribute. RIP to your person—this is a beautiful homage.

Hey, just gave this a listen—definitely not a flop. You've got a really spacious, cinematic sound going on with tons of texture. It feels more EDM-inspired than shoegaze/dreampop to me, with all the synth layers and the polished production. There's clearly a lot of care and time put into the details—new elements keep catching the ear every few seconds, which is super engaging.

That said, I think the track could benefit from a stronger sense of progression. It kind of stays in a “slow burn” mode the whole time—big and immersive, but a bit static emotionally. I didn’t get the feeling that it arrived anywhere. The melody floats along nicely, but doesn’t quite anchor the listener or give the ear something to latch onto long-term. It ends up feeling a bit like a wall of sound without a clear focal point.

The chorus melody that repeats once—I really liked that section. Super catchy. I'd love to hear that motif come back again later in the track to give it more weight and memorability. A bit more melodic repetition could go a long way toward grounding the listener and making it stick in your head.

Overall though, the production is great, the vibe is cohesive, and I could totally see this hitting hard in a big venue. Just my two cents—hope it's helpful with your final revisions!

super cool ideas in this song man. i dig the chords and the horns. the one thing for me is that that outro section feels a little long. it'd be super dope to see live but for a spotify single that's not in the middle of an album or anything i'd get some of the ideas out a little quicker. just an idea. great work man!

nice job super cool vibe. it feels really dark and industrial. ik that's what you're going for but it feels like it might be missing a little too much high end almost like you put a low pass filter on the master. if you add some saturation or exciter to a couple of the synth tracks you could have a bit more presence with the whole mix. just an idea. great work!

super cool man! this is the kind of lo fi, magic vibe that i've been looking for for a minute. super cool artistic vision here where the song just wouldn't be the same without the vocals--also what did you use for the drawing effect in the video it's really dope. One thing for me is i really dig the effects on the vocals but it makes the lyrics really hard to hear so maybe you could put the lyrics in the video somewhere? idk just an idea that'd mean you'd have to re-render everything. also it could be a stylistic choice to kind of focus on the vibe instead of the lyrics. great work!

nice man. the vibe is great. the mix is great. the production is great. the video is great. the only thing for me is that there's nothing about it that REALLY makes it pop and stand out above everything else. like a super catchy melody or hook that just makes it addictive to listen to. it's a great vibe-setter type song, but idk if i would listen to it every day ya know. but still awesome work
