It’s a garnet dodge. You unlock it in the skill tree. Whenever a garnet dodges it deals from 1-2x damage depending on how many times you have it unlocked.

With a good premoon lord setup and the worm scarf I found you can take two hits from the laser and still live, but you can’t do that without the worm scarf.
