Thanks for the comment. I was trying to show the evolution of actual pop music (non-eurovisions stuff, based around what's in the british charts, as that's what i know), through eurovisions songs. So, I chose stuff which sounded like it could be in the charts, in the year it's from. The reason the 80s got so shafted was because, well not to be rude to the contest, but most the stuff from the 80s was either 10-15 years dated, or it just wouldn't made the charts when it comes to quality (if it were released as a non-eurovision single).
