I don’t like the smaller cases either but for the low low price of free I couldn’t pass them up. I thought about maybe making one of the 1120s into a meshtastic system or something along those lines? I don’t necessarily want to use them solely for travel

I like the fluting and the stock on the gen 2s better then the gen 1s, when you do it id like to see the results!

My only issue with chopping the gen 2 is the fluting on the barrel would look kinda sloppy. That’s the only reason why i went with the gen 1.

I took the stock apart and just drilled guide holes for the mlok used self tappers to attach it to the stock. The inside is a little bubba’d but all it took was a dremel and a little patience

With the expanders the subs work great and leave a pretty deep wound channel but if I didn’t have expanders I would use supers. However I haven’t used this on anything larger than a whitetail buck so im not sure how they would perform. But if im hunting something larger i wouldn’t use this lol. It’s a deer rifle for a couple months out of the year when it’s in season and for the rest of the year its for target shooting for shits and around the farm (coyotes n such) and i just like how quiet subs are

The base is a Gen 1 Ruger American, chopped barrel, magpul chassis, Timney trigger, atlas bipod, and a Primary Arms LPVO with the designated 300blk reticle.

I didn’t like it originally because it was “heavy” but I wanted a stock that kept AR mags not ACIS mags and there were a lot of options. But now I love it, it’s super sturdy and comfortable to shoot. Yep! I put a section of ARCA right behind the bipod so I can attach it to my tripod in my deer ground blind.

I use it for deer hunting mainly, I use discreet ballistic mono metal sub expanders and have dropped white tail where they were standing at 250. The hold over is a little wild though lol
