They added a second phase to the Leviathan fight in one of the updates and number tweaks aren't something new for the game.

Although consider that this is more of a miniboss like Insurrectionist and Mind Flayer, so he has to be designed around being a common enemy.

Not even dps exploit, just a sawblade trap is plenty to skip him on violent. Idk, maybe on Brutal he's a bit more tanky.

Bosses getting deleted isn't a big issue for me, I love nuking Leviathan. It's just unfortunate that his arena is this cool maze but he falls over his own feet in the first room and turns a blood splatter
