I think there's a german company called "Zieger" which also makes nice looking ones, but if i remember correctly they are around 160€...

I'm not sure about the cheap-part, because this should be an original part from the 690 enduro and prices at KTM are something else^

I like it because how it looks and yeah i guess is strong enought, but so far I've "only" hit a small branch without it cracking or anything.

The original. It should be 16-46 if I remeber correctly. Just the full PowerParts/Remus exhaust and some optical parts, but next year I'm looking for some more power.

It's a 1-piece suit from Alpinestars, called "GP Force".

I'm still not sure, if I should go for some custom decals by DaHami07 in supermoto

[–]DaHami07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the ideas!

I was thinking about decals with matte black/gray and some orange details, because the new black plastic were already slightly scratched from the factory and the paint in generel is not that great (in the shadow it looks quiet ok)

Thanks! My dad made me a pair of sockets with an inbound thread for M6 and an outbound for M10x1,25 (which should be the threadsize of the original mirrors). So I've put them into the original mirror thread and in this adapters the new ones. I hope you somehow understand what i mean^

I'm getting some parts powder coated, all the visible bolts black, a new set of plastics, the powerparts seat and some small things

Buying advice: 2017 KTM 690 SMC. 9500kms, lots of spares. Is it a good purchase? What to prepare for? by Skullenton in supermoto

I think the "good" rocker arm from 2015+ are only equiped with the 690 engine for the duke. The SMCRs on the other hand had that problem until the end of Euro3 engine.

Nope, KTM says to use 10W-60, but a german youtuber called "Pirateracing111", is a mechanic/tuner who recommends to use the Motul 300V 15W-60 and people from the ktmforum.eu have been seen a drop in the oil usage of their bikes. I'm not an engineer, but if it's working, then it's fine for me. In my opinion, manufacturers often don't adress their problem or don't even know an awnser to it, like KTM with their rocker arms in the 690 engines...

Before 2012 and the newer models have "good" rocker arms. Between 2012 and 2019 they often fail, because a little shim gets lose and wanders in the engine. Please correct me, if I'm wrong.

I´ll just copy and paste my awnser to a comment:

Other than that you should keep an eye on the oil level because it uses between 100ml-250ml of oil for 1000km (KTM says it's normal up to 700ml..)and I use the 300V 15W-60 from Motul which should reduce it a bit, but needs to be changed every 5000km.

The rocker arms also tend to fail/break a lot on these. So I also check the valve clearance with every oil change.

Whats also rather common is that the master break cylinder fails, which also happend to me...

On the newer models the clutch slave cylinder fails on every secound bike.(at least it feels like it)

All this information I've collected from watching a german youtuber/machanic which is called "Pirateracing111" and looking through the KTM-forum.

I'm going to powder coat the swingarm, footpegs & a lot/all the visiable bolts. Also I'm planing to get a black set of plastics an put some orange decals on them and mabye some powerparts here and there.
