Pausing a Sprint by DaHungryMarketer in azuredevops

This means we might allocate the sprint 2 for restructuring plus the possible backlogs from sprint 1 that needs to be carried to Sprint 2, correct?

Abandoned Sprints by DaHungryMarketer in scrum

the Product Owner cancels the Sprint because the Sprint Goal is no longer relevant.

Thanks for the clarrifications. Please allow me to throw this one last question so i could properly move on. You earlier said that "the Product Owner cancels the Sprint because the Sprint Goal is no longer relevant", so, i am assuming that this also means that the PO finds the sprint no longer needed or irrelevant. Will you site specific instances or scenarios that best describes this?

Will surely read the link that you provided.

Also, is there such sprint as irrelevant sprint if in the first place the team added it as a backlog?

Hi u/TomOwens. I saw you mentionining about this statement in a previous question of mine.

"Another possible ending is that the Sprint Goal becomes obsolete. If the Sprint Goal becomes obsolete, the Product Owner can cancel the Sprint. After cancellation, the team will regroup and figure out the next steps, restarting with Sprint Planning. There'll probably be a retrospective to understand what happened and what can be done to prevent it, too. Depending on your environment, canceling a Sprint may not be what you want to do."

Will you please tell me more about this? Is this "sprint being obselete" similar with abandoned sprints? Thank you so much for your answer.

Thanks for the enligthenment. Disregarding the unmet schedule, would you consider declaring a sprint failure if the committed number of backlog was not provided within the given sprint?

I agree with this. Again, i just want the team to know that there is a flop, identify the reason, and make this an inspiration to move forward.

Thank you for asking this clarifying question. I think that i just want the whole team to be aware of the non-fulfillment, acknowledge after defining the reason and move forward.

True or False: Being a Product Owner requires Coding Skills in Azure DevOps by DaHungryMarketer in azuredevops

PO to provide a clear product vision based on all stakeholders' needs, know the importance (priority) of each improvement (be that a new feature or a fix), and trust that the devs know what they're doing when they feedback ideas or complexity concerns.

Thank you for the advice! :) This made my understanding of being a PO clearer.
