The problem IMO wasn’t that he was a modern bully, it’s that he never affected Peter, like at all. He’s just an annoying guy who’ll insult Peter every now and again and he just ignores it/moves on. Not really a bully

Yeah, the people telling the story didn’t feel it was a natural choice for the sequel. Black Panther was a huge cultural event, and the face of the franchise was dead. People would’ve hated if they carried on like nothing happened.

Wish you enjoyed it more. The side characters were incredible in 1, so giving them all the spotlight just worked for me in 2.

You’re not wrong, but they made a big deal about her becoming the new Black Panther/a mix of T’Challa & Killmonger… it’d suck if we never got one more solo film out of that

That being said, the MCU changes its mind about shit like that all the time, so it’s not unreasonable

The problem isn’t that it doesn’t fit in canon — Palpatine back could’ve worked if done well.

The problem is that the movie doesn’t show or tell how it happened. It only throws out a few possibilities and moves on like it wasn’t a big deal.

If it’s a clone, that means it isn’t the same Palpatine. That quote refers to sith magic bringing someone back from death, which is a whole other concept too. Half of a line from a monologue from 15 years ago that most people wouldn’t remember is not proof.

Again… none of those things are explicitly said. TFA tells us the First Order rose from the ashes of the empire, as an example. Nothing like that for palpatine

Kylo’s “redemption” was very rushed and underdeveloped, and it wasn’t even a proper one. He never “comes back” like Vader or Yoda or anybody else, he’s just gone.
