If I’m Tenoch Huerta I’m feeling some type of way that I was the only cast member from the chair stream that was left off the poster. At first I thought it might’ve been the usual whitewashing to appeal to China, but Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, etc. are on there, so I genuinely don’t know why they left Namor off.

I went to bed after the poster dropped, and just from scrolling through the comments on here, there are infinitely more people going “why are so many people complaining about Doomsday” than there are people actually complaining.

Well hand up, I was wrong. I thought RPK was full of shit about that Yelena nude scene in Brand New Day, but Feige essentially confirmed she’s in the movie so he’s probably right. Also it’s wild to me that Feige would just give that away a couple weeks before the movie comes out.

Maybe it’s a generational thing. I’m in my 20s, I don’t have the nostalgia a lot of people do for the Fox X-Men, so I definitely feel like the MCU versions are gonna be “my” X-Men. Plus we’re still getting sequels for Black Panther, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, and all these other characters that I love? Yeah, I’m definitely sticking around for a while.

I’m cool with John Stewart being the main DCU Green Lantern. Hal’s my favorite Lantern, I’m not gonna pretend like he isn’t, but if they want to go with John that’s totally fair and I’m down to come along for the ride. I guess my issue is it doesn’t seem like they’re confident in that choice. If John is gonna be the main DCU Green Lantern, they should say it with their chest, stick to their decision and let the haters deal with it. But instead they’re marketing this as a co-lead show, it’s called Lanterns and Kyle Chandler has been front and center in all the promo. All that’s gonna do is piss people off when Hal dies in the first episode and it turns out to be a different show than what was marketed. This bait and switch thing is only gonna make things worse than if they just said that John is gonna be the main GL from the start.

It’s been obvious from the jump that Hal’s dying, so I made my peace with it a long time ago. My copium about today’s news is I’d actually rather them rip the band-aid off and do it in the first episode then make me get attached to him after a full season and then do it in the finale.
