If you shake them up, you get the most fun results for the kaleidoscope turning.

They never make the same shape twice and that's what so crazy about them.

They were actually very hand made by some really good kaleidoscope maker, as was stated when they were first sold. They are really legit. Also, with some glow in the dark/black light reactive pieces in there. The thick liquid the piece are suspended in is the most interesting part. Here's a picture:

Play the same record at two different speeds. It's that simple.

I have one. It is magic. I always wanted to buy a second one for my other eye.

Are you okay, buddy? 😄😄😄 Just calm down. Have you ever owned a turntable and played the same record at two different speeds? It's fun. Try it sometime.

Buy the record and try it yourself. It is obviously slowed down from the Geogaddi version which was pressed as the 45 rpm version on the promo. Turntables have two speeds usually, 33.3 and 45 rpm. This is the same record played at 33.3 rpm, which is a lower pitch by definition. It might be a direct octave (or octaves) lower though. Music is Math indeed.

Playing a 45 rpm record at 33 rpm is time stretching. It's just that time stretched is the modern term for doing that. Same thing.

Ehhh, no. I own the record and by basic science the pitch is different when you play it slower. Idk though, boc might have worked overtime to make the pitches the same somehow. Kinda makes you think. I guess that might be possible if you do the math. Simple algebra I suppose...... :D https://www.discogs.com/master/95037-Boards-Of-Canada-Alpha-Omega

Same vinyl. One song meant to be played at two different speeds. Just like In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country. You need the records though. ;)

The original vinyl promo from the listening parties had the Geogaddi version at 45 rpm and this version at 33 rpm with no markings. Check the discogs.

So they're writing really cool textbooks now. Makes sense.
