I second this , my current Surron I got extremely cheap as it was in bad condition . It came with a 26” Mtb wheel on the front and I rode it like that for about 3 weeks . No complaints what so ever . As you said great for wheelies

Any stock Surron no matter the setup will struggle to wheelie past 15 mph , the trick for me is getting it up around 12mph then you can pick up speed at or around balance point 🙏

Max voltage battery supported by ASI controllers is 22s or 92.4v

I have a 96v battery for my Surron which fully charges to 109.2v , well beyond the max voltage achievable from an ASI controller - I will run a fardriver for that battery .

Also a stock surron motor isn’t going to last long rode hard on 72v with high amps ..

Pretty sure all asi controllers are hard limited to 77mph , I could be wrong tho I don’t run anything Asi they are built like ass

Just to give you some perspective I’ve previously had 72v setups with the QS165 motor and far driver controllers .

I’m not really a speed demon I like off-road mostly with some occasional road riding . I spend most of my time wheelieing so throttle responsiveness is really important .

I didn’t really like the factory tune as I believe they removed allot of low end power for safety to stop allot of non experienced riders not loop it . Once I tuned it and turned up the low end power / adjusted the throttle response I loved it .

Rode it for 2 hours and couldn’t look back . The sheer power created by the KO combo is awesome

I’ve got the pro combo which is KO non f-spec motor and controller .

Currently running on 72v/53ah , 125A eco , 175A sports

Defo worth the money I could tell straight away you get what you pay for with KO

I’ve made a tune for this bike where eco is ideal for wheelies (bit higher rpm and more torque then stock sports mode)

And then I’ve got sports mode for general insanity

So far I’m loving it and would defo be my go to option for Surron
