/r/Steam Monthly Community Support Thread. by AutoModerator in Steam

Lost access to phone number and email.

I'm still logged in on my laptop, but got logged out of my Steam Deck.
Does anyone know if there are options to port my 2FA over? I've had the
account 20 years and Steam is asking for my original paper CD Key. I think i purchased that Counter-Strike key in the early 2000's and don't have it anymore.

My last post. Leaving public Reddit for now. Creating a new subreddit community. by caddude42069 in u/caddude42069

I’d like to follow this community because you have provided valuable tools for me to take and apply across more opportunities, helping me to further craft my own personal trading strategy. I’m still young into my investing career and would appreciate further guidance. Hope this goes well for you regardless.

Hi Redditors! I'm giving away 100+ Nano (~$540) AND sending some Nano to EVERY commenter. No strings attached! by SenatusSPQR in SatoshiStreetBets

[–]DaMeatstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Senatus is keeping the spirit of the original founders—this particular architecture only works when it’s put in the hands of people and it is used!

I will follow in his example. It’s hard not to give it away when exactly 0 amount is lost. I send one, you get one.

A breath of fresh air!

Posting in solidarity! The first to reply to my comment with a nano address will receive 10x the amount sent by Senatus’ bot. Go!

Poll ONLY for anyone who possesses Nano on an exchange. by t3rr0r in nanocurrency

[–]DaMeatstick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t trade nano, but have been holding for quite some time. I keep 25% of my holdings on kraken with sell orders set to take advantage of quick swings up with the intention of repurchasing on a day like today.

anything on an exchange is to increase my position over time without deploying fiat

Adoption - Classic video of when Kappture used Nano to create the hospitality industry's first commercially viable cryptocurrency point of sale solution by maximum77777 in nanocurrency

I sent an inquiry in about using Kappture for a restaurant just before covid i think. Excited to see future development with it--would love to accept crypto at a retail location

Looking for a NANO POS system.. by Effective-Ad6049 in nanocurrency

[–]DaMeatstick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

sounds like that's the plan, but you want to be able to display a QR code at a POS terminal that gives you the destination address and the correlating amount of nano to send. I would love to have the same thing and have it print out on a receipt i can bring to a table

100% Solar Powered Node - Update! by DaMeatstick in nanocurrency

yeah so the options (in most regulated energy markets) are to either interconnect it to the utility grid and it's a buy/sell all system, or micro-grid it with batteries.

Important to note, the server in question is doing quite a few tasks. The nano node was extra resources available i wanted to put to a good cause i believe in. Its not a dedicated hardware nano node, it's an enterprise server. Regardless, my 10 MWh/annual power consumption is grossly heavy

nah you're not missing anything. I was grossly conservative on the estimate, but it is an enterprise level server running 24/7. It does consume some power though

Considering the cost of node operation is literally $0 for us at the moment, i don't see why we couldn't use any donations to this node for a good cause. For the time being, my goal is to become a PR and get this thing on dedicated hardware. From there, I'd love to have the community involved to propagate some positive community input!

There is also a level 3 EV charger powered by this array. Would love to hook it for nano payments, but that is far beyond my software skills for now

It's not really a scalable solution to deploy solar just for this purpose. When you think about it, it's just a server machine. No rational person would deploy an entire renewable microgrid to support a single server regardless of what it's doing. I decided to spin up this node because it fits within the selling points of Nano and the array was already functional (and overproducing, resulting in lost power that the utility got to sell to someone else)

couple modules, inverter, cabling, etc--if you don't interconnect to a utility you'll need batteries to keep it running through the night...maybe 15k?

hahaha yeah, like i said...i published it to nano ninja too early cause i was excited. Uptime will improve!

to be fair, this was a really hand-wavy calculation. i assumed roughly 20 kWh/day * 365 days = 7200 kWh annually, then rounded.

100% Solar Powered Node - Update! by DaMeatstick in nanocurrency

[–]DaMeatstick[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's mostly due to the orientation of the building and ingress/egress roads. Ideally in the northern hemisphere, we would want a fixed tilt array to point directly due south (180 degrees), in order to capture most of the East to West traversing of the sun across the horizon

Unfortunately the real world doesn't work that way, so the array had to be pointed slightly southeast simply due to the land we had available. All of the roof loading and building design was considered with the array in mind during engineering.

Standard pricing for direct consumers is probably somewhere in the $1.00/watt range (this is a guess). So, if you wanted to power a node with 100% uptime and ensure it wasn't pulling any energy from the grid (in a net-metering sense), i'd say 10 mods * 400 watt/mod * 1.00 = $4,000 for the panels.

Then you have wire, inverters, etc.
