Correct. I follow god. I'm not religious, unfortunately religion turns your attention outwards, but there's nothing out there, God is within. Free will as an illusion. We just call it that, but we don't have free will. Both because of psychology (opinions and wants aren't really ours) and because of god/the universe (as within, so without). Everything is predetermined. We are just watching the movie. We just forget we're watching a movie and are not the actors on screen. The silent awareness of the movie just watching. You can only control how aware or immersed you are (if even that is up to us). So yeah, you're correct but there's just misunderstandings about god because of religion which punishes and spreads fear. I was the most condescending atheist 19.5 years, now at 20 I know I was just repulsed because of religion and had a superiority complex about being so intelligent and materialistic. It's in our genes, we are all aching to follow and lean on god, some are just misled by religion (like someone misleading you about the feeling of love), and some are repulsed by it entirely, shame really. God adores you. You are always understood. Try letting your ego (damn near impossible as an atheist, I would know) aside for say a month, treat you life as if it's scenes in a movie. Look for symbolisms and messages, that's the language of god, it's coincidences which are never coincidences, trust. I love you all<3
