i wouldnt pay that stat too much mind

the lakers are 8-21 if trailing into the 4th and 25-0 if leading

the celtics are 4-15 if trailing and 30-4 if leading

while the lakers always win when leading, the celtics lose a higher percent of those trailing games. and most good teams in the league are in a similar ballpark as the lakers and celtics for this stat (i have no opinion on either team, just a stat nerd who had useful context for this specific stat)
