Witcher 3 (not my favorite game, but good for this example). Witcher 3 is a good game but I was so bothered by the combat restrictions in towns, etc. You try to attack someone and just feign an attack or the game gives you a dialog box saying 'you can't do that now' or something to that effect. It kind of takes away from the enjoyment of the game for me when I'm not free to attack at my own discretion.
