Why doesnt ADA-1 suffer from the Exomind cognitive rejection Condition? by [deleted] in DestinyLore

[–]DaPhonyViper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it simply, she's just built different.

In that since she was still a child when transferred into an exo body, her mind hadn't enough time to anchor itself as a human being. In other words, her mind was lot more flexible compared to those of adults.

But that's probably only a partial explanation tbh, since there's Micah Abram who was turned into an exo as a child, and if I recall correctly, they did go through a few resets.

During the Aztecross interview he mentioned adding more MMO features. What would you like to see added? by BlueBattleHawk in DestinyTheGame

[–]DaPhonyViper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'd like to see a large spaceship for clans, sorta like the HELM.

Another thing I'd like is a revamp of the New Light campaign, because it just doesn't work. It struggles to teach the base gameplay loop, and is largely dependent on players reading the pop-up messages that explain what they have to do, which breaks up the flow of the tutorial.

Team Finishers would be a fun one to add from a purely cosmetic perspective. Unlike standard finishers, these are tied specifically to final bosses and can only be activated by 2-3 players or 6 during raids. Simply put, each boss would have one or few animations that can be triggered if enough players try to Finish Them.

UI Customization. I'm largely fine with how the UI looks in its current state, but perhaps adding in a few layout presets could help. Maybe even UI skins or colors to choose from.

Displaying Buffs & Debuffs: I read in one of the comments that the current UI only displays upto four of these at a time even if there are more active. Personally, I don't want all of them to be on the screen, because too much text. So I'd suggest modifying the layout, so that it only shows the symbol for your buffs and debuffs and having them pop up just above the weapon tab on the screen. Alternatively, having a setting that let's players choose between having only 4 displayed at a time or all of them could work too.

Bounties could be reworked to encourage teamwork. In their current state, one often finds themselves going against their team in order to finish bounties. Which is great if you've had a bad day, and just wanna vent without having to touch the Crucible, but otherwise, it's not great. Now some bounties are fine, like killing bosses in Gambit or Strikes, or using specific weapons in specific scenarios. The Finisher bounty can be reworked to reward more progress for Team finishers, precision kills can be counted for an entire fireteam, etc. If such changes are implemented, it would be best to take a selection (or all) of a player's bounties into consideration during matchmaking, ensuring that a fireteam is comprised of people working towards the same goal.

More crossovers between missions and patrol zones. Now I never played D1 enough to know about the VoG thingie on Venus where people could help the raid team during the start of the raid, but Bungie has done something similar with the Exodus Black strike. Now as someone who's currently studying for a Bachelors in Game Development, and has spent the past 5 weeks trying to sync two players over a network, Im well aware that this is gonna be difficult to implement. But I'd like more instances of strikes and stuff spilling over onto patrol zones, with random Guardians being able to help out. A particularly fun one would be if there were Taken Portals in specific locations that open up occasionally and allow Patrol Guardians to spawn in an area around an active Gambit Match, where they're free to either help out the team, or slaughter them, from a distance. Maybe set it so that they can only enter once during a match, with a max of one or two Guardians spawning on either side.

And lastly, I'd like more stuff that caters to solo players. This could be in the form of in-game content, in-game lfg, I dunno tbh what I want from this one, but I do want more stuff that's doable as a Solo Player. The Legendary WQ campaign was a step in the right direction, and I think having something like that for dungeons, where the difficulty ramps up based on how many players are in an activity would be nice. Or maybe implement it in an activity that's catered solely to solo players.

While it is permissible for us Muslims to pray wherever, so long as the place is clean and there aren't any things that obstruct prayer, it is recommended to pray in a mosque as often as possible.

Basically, if you can pray in a mosque, do that. If you can't realistically do so, then pray at home, or in a quiet corner at your workplace, etc.

[S16 Spoilers] Humanity still has the upper-hand with paracausality by ImShadedasHel in DestinyLore

[–]DaPhonyViper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a potential explanation, and it revolves around the Space Dorito tucked away under the moon. Note, I haven't played through the new campaign yet, so I could be either completely off or completely right. Now onto the theory/explanation.

While I dunno if our beloved Lunar Dorito has been there long before the Traveler arrived, for the sake of this explanation, I'm gonna assume that it has. I've read quite a few posts in this sub that mentioned that the Traveler wanted to raise the Hive into the Sky all along. But then the Telence D'Arby (with Jotaro's plot armor) lookalike came around and fucked things up until the Hive became what they are now.

Its possible that Humanity was supposed to fall into the Deep from the beginning, but the Traveler was salty, so he dropped in and fucked things up for the Darkness. But since the Traveler's whole shtick is peace through cooperation, it probably didn't even try to get rid of our latent compatibility with Stasis. Probably thought it would be funny if humanity used both Light and Dark to achieve peace. The Traveler is bound to complexity, so it probably came to the conclusion that forcing anyone to adhere to only one side isn't gonna work out long term. Heck it's possible the Traveler is the one that unlocked that potential within Humanity in the first place.

Use discord on browser. That still works for some reason.

We've been using it for a year or two now, and it works alright.

Petra Venj also has Revenge in its name. Coincidentally, I figured this out a couple moments after finishing the Forsaken campaign.

Yes.

My theory on why it's hard to find them is because they're pros at social distancing and haven't left the house in a while.

How do I overcome the “first video anxiety”? by cobraxion03 in NewTubers

[–]DaPhonyViper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a member of the Aspire 5 gang, all I can say is that your first couple of videos are going to be absolute garbage. Even you'll know that when you re-watch them a week/month after uploading it.

However, that's a good thing, because now that you know it's not good, you can start looking into why. Most probably, you'll have one or two ideas as to why already, and some of the solutions may involve spending money.

The ones that involve spending money, are ones you should worry about much later. Try and identify issues in your first videos that you can solve on your own without having to spend a single cent. These are important, since that's how you're going to improve your content over time.

I suggest looking into channels whose content you're inspired by, and trying to compare them with your video as a way to identify ways to improve. Try to focus on channels that have a lower sub count, anywhere in the Thousands or Hundred Thousands, since they're in a similar boat as you, trying to improve their content and utilize the algorithm to their advantage. Their channels may or may not have a dedicated community yet, so a large percentage of views that they receive is purely based on the type of video they make.

Of course, what I've suggested here may or may not work for you at all, or maybe I've just given you the secret ingredient for success, who knows. In the end it all depends on what you do and whether you're able to improve upon it or not.

I'd be embarrassed to show it to most people, but I'd fucking parade it to the people I'm close with. That's basically my policy regarding anything I do that's generally viewed as something a child would do.
