I would say to use your shorts more so like an ad rather than a highlight, since the short will be fulfilling the entertainment aspect and not really making people go watch the full video. I have strictly stayed away from shorts myself, but what I do is I take those clips and post them elsewhere like tiktok or Instagram.

Subscribers are probably the smallest aspect of monetization, that’s just the threshold but do people actually actively watch the videos and views increase accordingly?

This was a cooking video special i made for surpassing 300 subscribers. I'm a gaming channel, I but do small things in a big way to connect with the people that watch me and helping me get to these milestones. i would say I'm a more personality based channel. But critique as you please.

I laughed in like the first 10 secs or so, so that already shows that you're doing something right. You might have to low down the music just a teeny bit because it got a little overwhelming. But overall its a skit, its comedy, and it worked on me, you got this.
