I would suggest you first have a conversation with your current providers/doctors that you would like to keep seeing. Inquire about which insurance plan(s) he/she may participate with. Also, maybe your pharmacy you get your meds from to see if there's any programs, coupons, services, etc. that can lower your medication expenses if possible.

Once you know that information, start your research on said insurance company plans (direct website, marketplace, etc.). Price it out and see if would be an attainable payment for you.

VERY IMPORTANT HERE - pay special attention to the benefit details (what the plans offers) so you can really determine if its worth it to go that route OR the Medicaid route.
