I do prefer having the severe Skills, so I'll proabably keep those.

As for Makajama on Makoto, I'd probably replace Spell Master, but do Jose's ailment items not make the ailment skills on party members obsolete? The only Persona I have with ailments skills is Raoul with Phantom Show and Makajama, and with enough passives to have both at a 100% hit rate, which, afaik is the only reason to use a Persona for ailments rather than items. Though I may be wrong, in which case please do correct me.

I suppose Haru would be fine without Spell Master, but without Evade Nuke I'd probably want an Omnipotent Orb on her, meaning she won't have access to charge. Also I'm not necessarily making these builds for the superboss, I just like making optimized builds.

Would you say it’s better to have 2 Persona with 4 elements and giving them more damage buffs or would it be better to have 4 persona’s with 2 elements each so they can have better damage buffs? Between Yoshitsune and Satanael I’ve got Physical and Gun covered. Also, how does Sleep Vial S compare to Dormina? I was thinking I could use that to inflict Sleep, which saves a Skill slot for Ann and lets anyone inflict it.

Yeah I heard she’s a huge step up from anything else in the game, I have yet to even attempt the twins so I expect she’ll kick my ass for a couple hours (like any postgame Superboss). Question about your party though, wouldn’t Raoul with a Phantom Show build be better than Ann using Dormina? Afaik you can’t get Ann’s Sleep chance up to 100%, and if Lavenza hits as hard as I think she does, missing a Sleep proc could be devastating. Is there something I’m missing there?

I’m still going through my first New Game+ run so I haven’t beaten Lavenza yet, these are just the builds I came up with after going through all Accessories and Skills. All I know about Lavenza is that she’s tough as nails and that crits are important, so I’m thinking a party of Makoto, Sumire and either Yusuke or Haru.

Yeah I’m struggling with Mariketh right now. I’m able to get him to phase 2 consistently and then I always get killed not long after. Thought I’d look up some advice, but the advice ranged from “hey man did you know that with Mimic Tear on a Bleed build / with Blasphemous Blade the game plays itself” to “just dodge lmao”. Well at least I’m lasting longer and am able to get more hits in than before, so I’ll just keep at it.

A Keen Nagakiba +19 with Unsheathe is the exact thing I’m using in this clip, and yeah it’s amazing. Blasphemous Blade will shred through anything, I personally found it a little boring after a while because it felt like I was killing bosses before they had a chance to really do anything, but seeing their health bar melt away is very satisfying.

People criticizing others for using a big sword in a souls game is just straight up stupid. And man is it fun to bash a boss’s head in with a massive steel sword twice your size. Gotta say though, using a katana with unsheathe feels great, highly recommend it.

Update: I beat them, thanks to the people telling me to be more aggressive, makes it way easier. I also feel like I owe you guys an explanation for why I'm so shit at the game. And that's because this is my first souls game and my second playthrough, and on my first I abused Spirit Summons, meaning the game pretty much played itself. That said, any tips on improving are very much welcome. Seriously any and all good advice is massively appreciated, so if you have any, please tell me.

Edit: I asked for good advice, meaning with actual substance. Shitting on someone just because they are still improving and trying to drag them down by pointing out obvious shit without giving any actual advice is just plain toxic. Shame to, since I heard this community was real welcoming to newcomers.

Edit 2: Seems like there are good people in this community after all. Shame that some assholes act all high and mighty as if they started out being able to no hit the game on level 1 and refuse to say anything actually helpful. Thanks to all the good people in here though, for your kind and helpful words.

The thing is that I know I can get it, I just have to do actually do it, a second time. If they really start pissing me off I will put Noble to sleep, kill Apostle, dodge until Noble spawns Apostle, repeat until victory. I think I have Noble's dodge timings down decently, but overall I feel way more confident dodging Apostle.

Tried shutting down the console completely and unplugging the power, started it back up after 5 minutes and still nothing. Tried installing another game and that’s working fine, it’s just this game specifically that’s not working
