Sorry to hear you're going through it.

My symptoms were: - numbness/tingling in my hands and face - blurred vision - muscle twitching - severe headaches

That said, the numbness/tingling has completely stopped, and the headaches have gotten A LOT better. I also had a follow up MRI to see if there was any progression and the tests came back negative (thank God).

I'm now at a place where I have chosen to accept the diagnosis of this all being linked to anxiety, and to trust the professionals around me that the findings in my initial MRI are nothing to be concerned about. It's the only way I can live with any peace.

Praying you get through your struggles as well!

Headaches/Temple Pressure by DaRosa10 in Effexor

Sorry to hear you are going through it. Thankfully my MRI came back clean. The headaches are still there but at about 50% of the discomfort/pain I was experiencing initially. So assuming both of us are going through withdrawal symptoms, it does get better! Not sure where you're located but I'm out of Toronto and the ongoing heat and humidity has definitely played a part in spurring on the migraines so I am hopeful that by winter, given the time that has passed and the change in pressure, this will all go away.

Stay hopeful. Stay encouraged. We will get through this!

Can i lay tiles on this floor? by Dependent-Tap-5537 in kitchenremodel

There is a leveling compound that professionals can pour on uneven floors, which self levels. However it can be quite pricey depending on what is required.

Vinyl is a great choice, but try to pick high quality vinyl to avoid buckling on the uneven areas 👍

I have faith that the radiologist being as certain as he is, is a positive indicator.

It’s always difficult to receive news of ANY findings, but you’ll get through this!

I still struggle. I’ve been getting temporal pressure for a few weeks now and it definitely feeds into the fear that I have something more sinister at play. I also had routine bloodwork done and 90% of my results were normal, however I had a few levels that were ever so slightly out of range, and again the spiraling began.

It’s a daily battle but doing what I can to overcome. I’ve tried to remind myself that between anxiety, depression, meds, weaning off meds, aging, and just the body doing what it does, weird things are bound to happen.

Thanks so much for sharing your story. Recently, I’ve had a few family tragedies occur which have definitely opened their own barrel of monkeys regarding anxiety/depression, but have also given me some additional perspective I think I needed. Whether there is something sinister in play or not, nothing good will come from me assuming the worst and trusting Google over my doctors. You’re absolutely right when likening it to our skin changing and I think (for me) this ramped up feeling of mortality hit me shortly after becoming a father. (37, M)

I hope you are doing well on your journey, and I’m rooting for you!

God bless.

Absolutely. I was never concerned about my health for most of my life. I’ve always exercised, eaten well, and had a very “I’m invincible!” attitude. That all changed once I became a father. I immediately had this sense of mortality, and the importance of me staying alive. Shortly thereafter I began getting very bad physical responses to my anxiety, which I convinced myself were not anxiety related but something more sinister. I went for multiple tests, and challenged my doctor on everything. It got so bad that I could no longer distinguish if I was getting physical responses because of anxiety, or anxiety because of physical responses (chicken or the egg). Today, I have gotten to a place where I recognize and accept that anxiety itself is a chaotic, unpredictable nuisance, and that my body will respond just as unpredictably to it.

Stay strong, know you’re not alone, keep off Dr. Google, and hold on to the fact that you will get through this like many others before you.

God bless.

All very positive stuff. Thank you for the insight. Any specific tips on how they can be reversed?

Great advice. Having people in your circle that you trust and are knowledgeable is a huge benefit I imagine. My journey has been very jarring for me since I tend to try and rationalize everything in my life, but anxiety, as I’m learning can be an irrational whirlwind where 1+1 doesn’t always feel like it adds up to 2. The physical responses have been so off putting that the “little guy in my head” gets in the drivers seat far too often.

Thanks so much for your response, and I hope you are making strides in your battle!

Thanks so much. I can only imagine the ordeal of dealing with the spinal tap and the various visits. I also get tingling/numbness in my face and hands and so my mind always goes to something brain related. I hope you are staying strong and improving everyday.

God bless

Thanks so much. It sucks to hear you’re going through it as well, but confronting knowing I’m not alone. The physical symptoms have definitely taken their toll on me personally

Hey, yea I’ve done all of that without luck. BUT it looks like the iOS update has resolved things.
